Kauai part 2, read second!

So my blog if kind of backward.... these pictures are from the last part of the Kauai trip.

Here are some pictures of the tent Nick insisted on bring... which we didn't need in the 80 degree beach camp site, and a few pictures of the way home.  I especially like the picture of the warning sign to avoid the water I bathed in and drank... Whoops.

The rock I was on was actually balancing on a bunch of little rocks over a waterfall/stream.  My camera was broken so I couldn't see what all was in the picture.

This is a picture of me after I took a shower in the bacteria infested water on the way home.  So far I don't feel bad!

Other than my hip Nick and I managed to make it out with only flesh wounds... Not bad for this type of hike.  He did take a nasty spill off  a rock into a river and bumped his shine, broke his camera, lost his hat and soaked all his stuff, including his shoes and all his socks, leading to some nasty foot soars.

Here are a few more pretty pictures.  There is a huge waterfall!  We didn't go see it but where we did see it from it was still amazing.  There was also a baby goat that was following us.  I wanted to take him home but Newbie and Fred are enough!

We didn't take any pictures at the beach.  First of all there were naked people and that would be awkward and secondly we just wanted to run around and have fun.  The beach was amazing.  There was a waterfall that flowed into the sand and just disappeared.  We took showers there and refilled our water for the hike out.  The beach was unlike any other I have been to.  The sand was half blonde, half black and the waves crashed on the beach.  There is no break out in the water.  Several times I was completely trucked by a wave much larger than me.  It was a blast, except for the falling rocks... I was beat by a bunch of golf ball sized rocks that fell from a cliff, the large waves hit so hard against the rocks that they fall on your head.  Damn Rocks!

I can't tell you how much I liked the hike.  It was great.  I wish everyone could go spend a few days or weeks there.  I definitely want to go back.
